Terms of Service

Last updated: 3 May 2025

1. About ComplyClear

ComplyClear (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides an online tool that generates administrative document templates to assist UK private landlords in demonstrating compliance with the Renters' Rights Act 2025. By accessing or using complyclear.co.uk, you agree to these Terms of Service.

2. Not legal advice

The templates and documents generated by ComplyClear are provided for administrative and record-keeping purposes only. ComplyClear is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. The documents generated by this service do not constitute legal advice, and you should not rely on them as such.

It is your sole responsibility to ensure that any documents you generate comply with applicable law in your specific circumstances. If you are unsure of your legal obligations, you should seek independent legal advice from a qualified solicitor.

3. The service

Upon payment of the applicable fee, you will be granted a single-use licence to generate one set of documents (Cover Letter and Certificate of Service) personalised to the tenancy details you provide. This licence is non-transferable and for personal use only.

4. Payment and refunds

Payment is processed securely by Stripe. Because our service is a digitally delivered product that is generated immediately upon payment, we are unable to offer refunds once the document generation process has been initiated, in accordance with the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 (regulation 37, digital content).

5. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ComplyClear shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with your use of this service, including but not limited to any fines, penalties, or legal costs incurred as a result of relying on documents generated by this service.

6. Governing law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
