Privacy Policy
Last updated: 3 May 2025
The short version
ComplyClear does not collect, store, or transmit any of the personal information you enter into this website. All document generation happens entirely within your own browser. Your tenancy details never leave your device.
1. Who we are
ComplyClear is an online service providing administrative document templates to assist UK private landlords in demonstrating compliance with the Renters' Rights Act 2025. The service is accessible at complyclear.co.uk.
2. What data we collect — and what we do not collect
ComplyClear operates as a 100% client-side application. This means all processing occurs within your web browser on your own device. The information you enter into our forms — including landlord name, tenant name, and property address — is used solely and exclusively to generate your PDF documents within your browser.
We do not:
- Transmit your tenancy details to any server
- Store any personal information you enter
- Share, sell, or disclose any of your data to any third party
- Retain any record of the documents you generate
- Use any tracking technologies that collect personally identifiable information
Once you close or refresh the page, all information you entered is permanently gone. We have no copy of it. There is nothing to sell or share.
3. Payment data
Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe, a PCI-DSS certified payment processor. ComplyClear does not receive, handle, or store your card details at any point. For information on how Stripe handles your payment data, please refer to the Stripe Privacy Policy.
4. Cookies and analytics
We may use basic, anonymised analytics (such as page view counts via Vercel Analytics) to understand how many people are visiting the site. This data is aggregated and non-identifiable — it tells us that a page was visited, but not by whom. We do not use advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or any behavioural tracking tools that could identify individual users.
5. Your rights under UK GDPR
Because ComplyClear does not collect or store personal data, most rights under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (such as the right of access, the right to erasure, or the right to rectification) are not directly applicable to our service — there is simply no data held about you to action.
If you have any questions or concerns about how your data is handled, please contact us.
6. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
